What books will help you defend yourself from subtle remarks

Middle School/High School is where you are trained in the art of comebacks, you should already know how.

What books will help you defend yourself from subtle remarks

No. You should start by being genuinely friendly to the other people on the job. Next, whenever you notice one of these things, ask the person what he or she meant. Nicely.

You might be surprised. Nastiness is not as rampant as the people who sell paranoia medicines pretend. Why do you want a defense against compliments?

the art of war is about how war was faught in china 3000 years ago, it is not about office politics.

the only way u can effectively combat office politics is to become better at it than they are. which first requires u to understand exactly waht is going on, what r peoples roles, who r the combatants, what r their individual agendas, who is allied with who, & what is the power hierarchy. knowing the true social hierarchy of ur environment is more important than knowing ur professional hierarchy. & never forget that there is no substitute for experience.

there, I just saved u six months of reading & about $80 of over priced self help books that only help fill the pockets of the authors
