What are some fantasy good books to read

I would personally dive into The Dark Tower series. I put off reading them for a long time but when I finally started I couldn;'t wait to get into the next one. I am really not a fantacy/sci fi guy, but this series really blew me away. he calls it his Magnum Opus, which I guess means his greatest work to date, & i believe it having read all of Kings books. Every other book he has written has ties to The Dark Tower series, some to a greater extent than others, but it is fascenating to see the coorilations. Be sure to start with the Revised Edition of The Gunslinger--the first in the series. it will help tie in with the other 6 books. i gotta tell you, the end will literally blow ur mind! i was totally caught off guard. The Lord of the Rings really is good if you can get past the first part. That beginning is a bit tedious and hard to get into though.

I do not know if you like romance, but if you do, or if you can stand it and do not mind it, then try Trickster is Choice and the sequel Trickster is Queen by Tamora Pierce. They're not only about romance; the romance is more factored into the book, but more towards the end. Old Magic by Marianne Curley is another good one, but it is romance, too..

Amelia Atwater-Rhodes, Donna Jo Napoli (one of my favorite authors) have some good fantasy books, too.

I have the same taste in books and read the same books you have. Did you read the Chronicles of Narnia, it is a good 7-part series. I am having a diffulcult time finding books to read now so I hope you find something.

Jim Butcher, the guy who writes the Dresden Files also has a series out about a place called Alera which is a great trilogy and will soon have a sequel coming out.

The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, and The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkein are both very good.

When I was a kid I really enjoyed ''The Neverending Story'' by Michael Ende. I really loved the movie too (especially the first part), but the book beats the movie in complexity.

i would say, harry potter series, percy jackson series, charlie bone series and the artemis fowl series.
